Sevdiah
has been dancing in the Tampa Bay area since 1994, during this time she has continued her studies here and abroad in the discipline of Raqs Sharki. This desire to always excel in her craft has earned her respect and placed her in high demand for performances and instruction. Born and raised in NYC by parents and family of Albanian & Turkish descent, she strives to keep this art alive.

 

Sevdiah has opened up in Clearwater for Ramy Ayach, performed at Raymond James Stadium, toured with Goddess of the Veil, is responsible for
 "Raks at the Royalty 2006 Improv" DVD 
&
  "From The Cradle To Cairo"
Instructional 3pack DVD from beginners to advanced with Portia & Nathalie of Miami.
She was also the first Middle Eastern dance teacher at the Patel Conservatory for the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.

 

Sevdiah has studied with some of the most honorable instructors that are known throughout the world. They include Horacio & Beata Cifuentes (Germany), Jillina (CA), Fahtiem (CA), Sahra Saeeda (Egypt), Eleni Lenti (NY), Bozenka (Miami), Aziza (Canada/Oregon), Amir Thaleb (Argentina), Virginia (Miami), Ahmet Luleci (Folk, mainly Turkish/ Boston), Hadia (Canada), Tamalyn Dallal (Miami), Yousry & Nourhan Sharif (NY & Egypt).
She has also studied in Egypt with Raqia Hassan, Mahmoud Reda, Farida Famy, Mona El Said, Randa Kamel, Sorroya, Dina and many, many more.

 

Sevdiah teaches and performs at several locations in the Tampa Bay area weekly. She is available for private parties, workshops, weddings and should be booked in advance. Have you had a Harem Dreams Party? These are just a girls party for Bridal, Birthday, or Baby Shower.  Classes are available on a regular basis throughout the year, as well as workshops on technique and choreography.
